* The graduate students in our laboratory belong to the Department of Human Mechanical Systems & Design.
We conduct education and research with the goal of applying fundamental knowledge in mechanical engineering—such as solid mechanics, vibration engineering, optimal design, and thermal-fluid engineering—to a wide range of industrial fields.
Our research topics include the optimal design of advanced functional composites, optimal design of next-generation aerospace systems using physics-informed AI, vibration control of smart composite materials, development of new manufacturing methods for composites, as well as biomechanics-related studies such as stents used for treating arteriosclerosis, motion analysis of the knee joint, and the development of artificial joints. Each faculty member works on diverse and interdisciplinary themes.
Through these research and educational activities, we aim to cultivate individuals who possess versatile problem-solving skills applicable to a wide variety of challenges.

材料力学,振動工学,最適設計,熱流体力学の機械工学のベースとなる知識を広範囲の産業分野へ生かすことを目標に教育・研究を行っています.新機能複合材の最適設計,次世代航空宇宙機器の物理モデルAIによる最適設計,スマート複合材振動制御,複合材の新たな製造方法の開発や,動脈硬化の治療に使用されるステントなどの生体力学に関する研究,膝関節の運動解析と人工関節開発など,各教員がそれぞれ幅広いテーマを取り扱っています.このような研究活動を通して,いかなる問題解決に適応できるスキルを身に付ける人材を育てる研究教育を目指しています.
